Graduate Member Professional Development Scheme Personnel and Development (PDS)
Aim
Internationally recognised in the field of Personnel Management. This course can offer routes to promotion and pay increases by gaining better CIPD membership grades.
Syllabus
Professional Development Scheme
Consists of four fields of study:
- Leadership and Management
- People Management and Development
- Specialist and Generalist Personnel and Development
- Applied Personnel and Development (requires the completion of a work related Research Report)
Completion of all four fields leads to Graduate membership which can be upgraded to Chartered membership depending upon experience.
Post Graduate Certificate
Consists of two fields of study:
- People Management and Development
- Applied Personnel and Development
Completion of both fields leads to Licentiate membership.

Entry Profile
Both courses sit at post graduate level, therefore a degree is required, preferably in a business or management subject area with appropriate experience. For those who do not hold a degree an assessment of experience and qualifications can be arranged in order that you can join either course.

MBA programmes at many Higher Educational establishments and specialist CIPD qualifications.
