- 3 SVQ Level 3 Units
- Sociology for Social Care Practice
- Psychology for Social Care Practice
- Protection of Individuals from Harm
- Understanding and Supporting Behaviour
Career Outcome
Care related services, for example residential schools, day-care facilities for the older adult and resource centres for adults with physical disabilities or learning difficulties.
Entry Profile
- One of the following:
- 2 Highers and 2 Standard Grades or equivalent with relevant Care experience
- Appropriate introductory course such as Higher Care/NQ Social care/NQ Working with Communities
- Experience and/or other qualifications will be considered
Leads To
- SVQ Care Level 3/4 in Health and Social Care (while working)
- HND Supporting and Managing Learning Needs
- Degrees/Diploma in Social Work/Community Education/Social Science at university
