NQ Higher Access to Teacher Training
Aim
This course will provide you with the grounding you will need to meet the requirements for entry to the BEd (Primary) Degree Course.
Syllabus
- Higher English
- Higher Play Project
- Higher Early Education and Childcare
- Higher (Option)
- Intermediate 2 Maths
- ICT Unit
- Other options as appropriate
Work Experience
Students are required to undertake a work placement within a Primary school (Primary 1 or 2) for one day per week as part of this programme. All students will be asked to give consent for a criminal records check to be carried out by Disclosure Scotland. No placement experience can be organised until a satisfactory report has been received.
Career Outcome
This programme will be the first stage in student training to become a teacher.
