[edit] Refinements of the <description> element

The following vocabulary terms are defined as refinements of the XCRI description element.

To use these terms, make sure you import the XCRI Terms XML schema in your document, and reference the qualified name of the term using the xsi:type attribute. E.g.

<dc:description xsi:type="xcriTerms:topic">This is the topic description</dc:description>

coursework, etc. Equivalent to mlo:Assessment. See CWA 15903.

careerOutcome
career outcomes for a course of study

Guidelines Career Outcome: This could include destinations of students in the first year after completing their course (including employment and further study), the proportion of students employed in a full-time professional or managerial job in first year after completing the course, and the average salary in the first year after completing the course.

contactHours
the number and style of contact hours that a learner should expect on a course of study
contactPattern
the style of contact that a learner would receive on a course of study
events
events relevant to a course of study, such as open days
indicativeResource
examples of the kind of resources that would be used on a course of study, such as IT facilities and reading lists
leadsTo
opportunties likely to flow from a course of study, such as opportunities for further study (course articulations)
policy
policies relevant to a course of study, such as diversity of adjustments for disability
providedResource
resources that would be provided to learners by the institution
requiredResource
resources that the learner must provide in order to engage in a course of study
specialFeature
used to highlight special features of a course of study
support
support facilities available to learners
structure
an overview of the module composition of a course of study
studyHours
hours of study expected of a learner for successful completion
teaching Strategy
the teaching strategies that will be employed on a course of study

a syllabus of topics that would be covered in a course of study

To use these terms, make sure you import the XCRI Terms XML schema in your document, and reference the qualified name of the term using the xsi:type attribute on the <engagement> element.
